Bollywood mein filmein sirf teen cheezo ki vajeh se chalti hai.. Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment!
Entertainment is the core of Bollywood movies. So many genres, different plots, unique ideas, everything about Bollywood is oh-so-interesting!
My exams just got over and I was lying bored in my house on a Saturday evening. Iss boredom ko bhagana mushkil hi nahin, namumkin hai…
The television was on but there was hardly anything interesting to watch. I had to say, The ‘Josh’ was very low, sir!
And that is when I accidentally came across an advertisement for ZEE5.
Turns out, ZEE5 is everything you have been waiting for. Finally, a video streaming platform that offered you pure entertainment with more than 1 lakh hours of streaming! It includes free Hindi Movies, TV shows, Premium movies and web series in more than 12 languages across India, and much more. No matter which is your favourite genre — romance, comedy, suspense, thriller, horror, ZEE5 has got you all covered! The content library on ZEE5 is so vast that you might get addicted to it. Available to stream on browsers, Android and iOS, it is pretty easy to access too.
I browsed through the collection and I was overwhelmed by the never-ending list under so many genres. All my favourite movies were there. Mogambo khush hua!!
It was a tough decision choosing from hundreds of movies, but I finally ended up deciding five movies to watch this weekend. Here are my top comedy movie picks that can be watched for free on ZEE5:
Tanu Weds Manu Returns
A sequel to the blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu, the movie revolves around the life of Manu (R. Madhavan) who divorces his wife Tanu (Kangana) after four years of marriage. The husband later falls in love with Tanu’s lookalike Kusum, who is a Haryanvi state level athlete and decides to marry her. What happens next when Tanu comes back into the equation forms the rest of the story. The movie is an amazing blend of romance, comedy, humour and sprinkled with just a little bit of drama.
This romantic comedy revolves around Prem (Salman Khan) who is popular as the “Love Guru”, helping Bhaskar (Govinda) who falls in love with his beautiful boss Priya Jaisingh (Katrina Kaif). On the other hand, Prem himself falls for a single-mother Naina (Sushmita Sen) and tries to woo her. The movie is David Dhawan humour at its best with style and romance in abundance, as we see both the men struggle to win their girls’ hearts. With the rumours on the sequel of this movie, I’m hoping it turns out to be as amazing watch as the first part.
PC: Bollywood Tower
The movie is a truckload of laughter, tears, romance and humour. Housefull is a story of Aarush (Akshay Kumar) who considers himself to be the most unlucky man, jinxed, ‘Paunauti’ and a loser. He believes his bad luck will vanish if he finds his true love, which he does when he meets Sandy (Deepika). The basic plot is a web of lies woven by his friends trying to set up situations for their marriage. Things speed up in jest of laughter when Hetal’s dad visits their house. This movie is a laugh-out-loud machine that will have you giggling till the end.
Golmaal, Fun Unlimited
Golmaal is one of my personal favourites and the funniest movie I have seen in a while. The plot revolves around the life of four runaway crooks living with an old blind couple under the impression that one of them is their grandson Sameer. The movie gets another dimension when Nirali enters their lives and they try all to woo her. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie has a lot of hilarious scenes, comic situations and even fight-sequences that are equally funny and hilarious. Basically, the movie is a must watch for all age groups.
The story revolves around two life-long friends, one of whom is a successful and ambitious romantic, and the other is a laid-back charmer. The story unfolds as the two of them resort to becoming male escorts having no other options at hand and in dire need of money. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, son of David Dhawan, the movie is a full-on entertainment package with laughter and romance in equal measure.
P.S: I started watching Tanu Weds Manu Returns and was very happy at the fine quality print I was witnessing on the screen. Ek fine print ki keemat tum kya jaano, Ramesh Babu. Mere jaise Bollywood geek ke liye vardaan hota hai fine quality print. Vo bhi ekdum muft..muft..muft!!
Aap convince ho gaye ya mai aur bolun?
